Schools exchange videos showing their school life and their communities. After watching cultural videos from partner schools, students analyze and compare what they discover, noting similarities and differences in school life, traditions, food, and daily activities between their community and others. They ask questions about other cultures, record their thoughts, and use polite language to write simple comments to establish real connections with children from different countries. All videos are welcome! You can start sharing yours now. Our video will be ready in September when we begin our third term.

This project is part of the Global Academy program run by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea. About 15 high school students from Korea will be paired with students from countries that supported South Korea during the Korean War. These countries may have sent soldiers, medical teams, supplies, money, or other forms of support. From September to December, students will communicate with their partners through Padlet. There will be no live online meetings. Students will share their school life, culture, and ideas about the Korean War. They will also talk about remembrance, human rights, peace, and living together peacefully. Students will exchange questions and messages online at their own pace. They will also send postcards, small cultural gifts, and local snacks to their partners by international mail. The project will use about six hours of club activity time from September to December. We want to keep the project simple and easy for both students and teachers. Most activities will be done asynchronously, so each school can take part at a convenient time. During the project, students will exchange postcards, small gifts, and local snacks with their partners and create a shared peace message.

Students investigate how grammar, idioms, and speaking styles vary between their classroom and a partner class through structured interviews and written exchanges. They analyze the differences they find and present their discoveries, exploring why certain grammatical choices are more common in different English-speaking communities.

Students create and perform their own market roleplay scenarios that blend authentic elements from both their local market and their partner class's market culture, then film or record these exchanges to share. They synthesize listening and speaking skills while demonstrating how markets reflect local identity and global connection.

Students learn 10 to 15 basic signs together (greetings, numbers, emotions) through videos and guided practice, then record themselves signing and share clips with a partner class to compare how each group signs the same words. They discover that sign language has its own grammar and beauty, celebrating World Deaf Day by practicing these new skills together.

Students conduct interviews with their partner class about school life, analyzing differences and similarities in subjects taught, break times, classroom layouts, and student responsibilities. They create comparison charts or presentations that reveal patterns about how school life varies around the world.

Students collaborate with their partner class to design and test an original, practical toolkit or guide that teaches Kiswahili language mastery using the most effective strategies they've discovered. They create sample lessons, practice activities, or digital resources that blend both classrooms' insights and test them with peers before finalizing the toolkit for other learners.

Students explore traditional foods and natural remedies from their own communities, then share photos, recipes, and descriptions with partner classes internationally to discover similarities and differences. They create a shared digital gallery comparing how different cultures use science to understand the healing properties of everyday foods.

Students collect everyday English words and phrases used in their local community, then share them with partner classrooms internationally to discover how the same words are used differently across regions. They compare spellings, pronunciations, and meanings to build awareness of English variation.

Students design and execute a complete clothing repair project, applying satin stitching techniques to personalize items by stitching names or meaningful patterns onto repaired garments. They create a photo guide or short video showing their repair process and present their finished pieces to their international partner class, explaining the cultural significance of naming and mending clothes in their community.

Students explore a simple profit and loss statement together, learning what revenue, costs, and net profit mean through real examples from their own communities, then share their findings with a partner class via video call to compare how different businesses track money.

Students document and compare how wealth and consumer habits shape their local communities, then exchange observations with partner classrooms globally to identify common patterns of superficial consumption. They create a shared visual map showing where and how overconsumption happens in different cultural contexts.
