🌍 WHAT MAKES MY TEACHER SPECIAL? World Teachers’ Day – 5 October 2026

Students brainstorm qualities and moments that make their teacher special, discussing in small groups what teachers do that helps them learn and feel supported. They share ideas with the whole class to build a common understanding of teacher impact.

Students listen to audio messages from the partner class celebrating their teachers, discussing what they notice about how teachers in different cultures support their students. They reflect on similarities and differences in what makes teachers special across their communities.

Students draft and practice what they want to say about their teacher, then record a 30-60 second audio message answering 'What makes my teacher special?' in their own words. They review their recording and upload it to the shared platform.

Students listen to all audio messages from both their class and the partner class, noting the different ways teachers make a difference around the world. They reflect on what they learned about teaching and cultural perspectives on teacher impact.

Students create a short reflection or thank-you message to their teacher, sharing one thing they heard in the audio messages that made them appreciate their teacher more. The class discusses how this project helped them see their teacher's impact in a new way.
