What I Love About My Town
Students brainstorm and list their favorite local activities, hangout spots with friends, and beloved local foods. They share stories and photos to capture what makes their hometown special from a kid's perspective.
Create Your Hometown Introduction
Students work individually or in pairs to create a visual or written introduction (drawing, collage, poster, or short written piece) that showcases their favorite local activities, hangout spots, and foods. They prepare to share this with the partner class.
Exchange and Explore with Partner Class
Students share their hometown introductions with the partner class through the Class2Class platform or Padlets. They explore peers' contributions, ask questions, and begin noticing what activities and foods are similar or different across their two communities.
Celebrate Our Discoveries
Students reflect on what they learned about their own hometown and their partner class's community. They share one surprise or connection they discovered and discuss how young people around the world enjoy similar activities in different ways.
