Students from different countries exchange personal perspectives on how the U.S.-Iran conflict affects human rights in their communities through recorded video testimonies and collaborative digital mural. They analyze similarities and differences in how their cultures view the conflict, engage in reflection forums to build empathy, and create a shared presentation celebrating diverse viewpoints on global human rights issues.

Students will be able to identify and describe the background, current issues, and human rights dimensions of the U.S.-Iran conflict while recognizing diverse perspectives from international peers through collaborative dialogue.

Students will be able to apply critical thinking and intercultural communication skills to analyze the global human rights impact of the U.S.-Iran conflict and demonstrate collaborative leadership by developing evidence-based, student-led action plans with partner classrooms.

Students learn a brief overview of the U.S.-Iran conflict and its effects on human rights through PPT slides createdby Korean students, then discuss in small groups on this debate topic.

Letters and Souvenirs Exchange: Stories from Our Communities

Students write personal letters reflecting on how and human rights issues affect their daily lives, communities, and perspectives, then exchange letters and small cultural souvenirs with their partner class to deepen personal connection and understanding. Each student includes a brief written reflection on what they learned from their pen pal's letter and souvenir.

It was not easy to communicate real time with other schools due to the time difference. So I planned zoom conference and invited teachers but ended up with no showing. As a result, my students were very disappointed. I hope we can communicate better next time. Anyway my students have been very much actively participating in these activities.
