Changemaker’s Mission: Your Talent in Action

Di cosa tratta questo progetto?

This July we celebrate World Youth Skills Day with a mission. The question is for everyone: What can you do so well that you would teach it to the world? We all know how to do something worth sharing: drawing, cooking, coding, braiding hair, telling stories, solving problems. Talk about it in class, create something that teaches that skill, and share it on the Board. Then explore what students in other countries know how to do. One question, three steps, and your classroom connected to the world. Note: When sharing photos or videos, we suggest protecting children's identities, for example, by showing their hands, their work, or filming them from behind. Children's privacy comes first.

What Can You Teach the World?

Students explore what skills they have that are worth sharing, discussing examples like cooking, coding, storytelling, or problem-solving. They reflect on why their chosen skill matters to them and their community, and prepare to share it with international peers.

Durata: 20 minuti
2

Teach Your Skill to the World

Students create a resource that teaches their chosen skill to others. This can be as simple as a drawing or a short demonstration, or something more elaborate like a video tutorial, step-by-step guide, or infographic. They upload it to the Board and explore the resources shared by the partner class, noticing which skills are similar and which are different across cultures.

Durata: 60 minuti
3

Comment and Connect: Learning from Each Other

As a class, students look again at the resources shared by the partner class on the Board. Guided by their teacher, they choose one or two resources they enjoyed and, if they wish, share a friendly comment together — what they liked, what they learned, or a skill they would like to try. They also talk about how seeing other students' skills changed or grew their own ideas about what people value in different communities.

Durata: 40 minuti

Thank you to every teacher and student who took part in this mission 🌍 More than 300 classrooms around the world registered for this mission, and among them, wonderful stories came to life: a skill worth teaching, a talent worth celebrating, a lesson worth sharing beyond the classroom walls. To our students: thank you for being brave enough to show the world what you're made of. Every drawing, every video, every idea you shared matters. To our teachers: thank you for opening that space in your classroom, for believing that your students' talents deserve a global stage, and for the everyday work of helping young people discover who they are. This is what teaching and learning are really about. Here's to the next mission 🎉
