We gave students an opportunity to ask questions and get clarification to understand and empathize. Over the next couple weeks, students completed the phases of the Design Thinking process within their own classrooms in order to come up with a solution to propose to their international partner class. Students empathized, identified a problem statement, ideated, and developed a final solution and prototype. Lastly, the groups met on Zoom one more time to share their ideas and prototypes with each other in the hopes of offering solutions to each other's community problems.
