Meet Our Partner Class and Share Our Hometown
Students meet their partner class through a short video call or recorded greetings, then discuss what they already know about each other's towns and countries. They also talk about what a postcard is and why people send them.
Draw or Write Our Postcard About Home
Students create their own postcard showing their town, school, and favorite place, including a custom or symbol that matters to them. They then write a short message on the back to a partner student, using simple words or pictures.
Exchange and Read Partner Postcards
Students swap postcards with the partner class, either by mail or by sharing photos, and read the messages they receive. In pairs, they list similarities and differences they notice in daily life and traditions, showing respect for each culture.
Reply to Partner Class with Empathy Notes
Students write or draw a reply that answers a question from their partner and shares one thing they admire about the partner's culture. They also reflect on how it felt to learn about someone so different from themselves.
Postcard Gallery Showcase with Partner Class
Students display their postcards and comparison charts in a classroom gallery and present them in a short video call to the partner class. They finish by sharing one thing they learned about respect and kindness across cultures.
