Lernergebnisse

Students will be able to describe the core programming concepts used in a C++ grade calculator, including variables, data types, input/output, arithmetic operators, and conditional statements.
Erinnern / Verstehen
Students will be able to apply input validation and conditional logic in C++ to compute total marks, percentages, letter grades, and pass/fail status for a student record.
Anwenden
Students will be able to analyze test results from peer classrooms abroad to identify logic errors and compare how different grading scales affect pass/fail outcomes.
Analysieren
Students will be able to evaluate the reliability of their calculator using feedback from partner classes, judging whether its validation and grading output meet clear accuracy criteria.
Bewerten
Students will be able to design and build a validated, configurable grade calculator in C++ with documented design choices, and share it for international peer review.

Projektaktivitäten

1

Kick-off: Meet the Partner Class and Map the Grading Problem

Students join a short video call with the partner class, introduce themselves, and review the grade calculator requirements. In small groups they list the inputs, outputs, and grading rules they need.

Dauer: 40 Minuten
2

Design and Build the Validated Grade Calculator

Groups write pseudocode and a flowchart, then implement the C++ program with input validation, a configurable grading scale, and clear pass/fail output. They document each design choice as they go.

Dauer: 150 Minuten
3

Cross-Class Testing and Peer Review

Groups send their calculator to the partner class, run the partner's program on shared test cases, and note logic errors and grading differences. They then use the feedback to fix and refine their code.

Dauer: 60 Minuten
4

Final Showcase and Reliability Reflection

Groups demonstrate their calculator, share the testing evidence and design decisions, and explain how well it met the accuracy criteria. Students reflect on what the partner feedback changed.

Dauer: 50 Minuten
