Projektaktiviteter
Around the World: Choose Your Country & Get Started
Students choose a country and explore what makes it special by looking at maps, images, and simple facts. They share their choice with the class and explain why they picked it, building excitement for the research ahead.
Deep Dive: Research, Compare & Prepare for Exchange
Students gather detailed information about their country's geography, culture, food, celebrations, and daily life using books and online resources. They organize their findings, create a comparison chart showing how their country differs from and resembles their own, and prepare 2-3 key facts to share with the partner class during the video exchange.
Live Video Exchange: Share & Learn from Partner Class
Students join a live video call with the partner class to present their country's most interesting discoveries, ask questions about the partner class's countries, and discuss surprising similarities and differences they noticed. This real-time conversation builds intercultural understanding and global awareness.
Showcase Your Explorer's Journey
Each student presents their country research to the class using a creative format (poster, slideshow, travel diary, or model) and explains what they learned, why they chose the country, and how understanding it changed their view of the world. Students reflect on how connecting with the partner class deepened their appreciation for global diversity.
Prepare Your Country Slides for the Live Exchange
Students create a short slides presentation highlighting their country's most interesting discoveries, including 3-4 key slides on customs, food, celebrations, and one surprising similarity or difference they found compared to their own culture. They practice presenting their slides clearly and prepare 2-3 questions to ask the partner class about their countries during the live video call.
Reflect on Your Learning: Culture Bridges & Global Connections
Students reflect on what they discovered about their country and how it compares to their own culture and the partner class's countries. They complete a simple reflection journal entry identifying one surprising similarity, one key difference, and one way understanding other cultures helps build friendships across the world.
