Monuments Around Us: Getting Started
Students explore what makes a monument special by looking at pictures and discussing monuments they know. The teacher introduces the project and students begin thinking about which monument from their country they want to share with the world.
Research and Create Your Monument Card
Students research their chosen monument, gathering its name, location, history, and interesting facts. They then create a poster, digital card, or short presentation that tells the story of their monument and explains why it matters to them or their country.
Monument Exchange: View and Compare
Students view monuments shared by the partner class and compare them with their own. They notice patterns, similarities, and differences in how monuments from different countries tell stories about culture, history, and identity.
Gallery Walk and Reflection
