Subject verb agreement

Students meet their partner class on a live video call to introduce themselves and explain briefly how subject-verb agreement works in their own language. Together, they compare a few simple example sentences.

Students collect short sentences from songs, ads, and chats, then highlight the subject and verb in each one. Pairs check each other's work and note any agreement patterns they notice.

Students share their sentence collections with the partner class through a shared board and discuss how agreement differs between English and the partner language. Small groups write short comparison notes.

Student teams present their shared set of sentences and intercultural findings during a final live video call. Both classes reflect on what they learned about agreement and about each other's language.
