Eco-Mission Kickoff: Choose Your Action
[Offline in your class] Students form small groups and select one environmental mission to practice for two weeks (e.g., zero food waste, washing recycling bins, turning off lights, using tumblers). Each group discusses why they chose their mission and what they hope to learn.
Document and Create: Posters and Videos
[Offline in your class] Groups practice their eco-mission for two weeks, then use Canva or CapCut to create a short poster or video in English showing what they did, how they did it, and what they learned. This becomes their visual record to share with the partner class.
Explore and Compare: Padlet Exchange and Questions
[Asynchronous on Padlet] Teachers upload all groups' posters and videos to a shared Padlet. Students explore their partner class's eco-actions, note cultural differences and similarities, and write 2-3 thoughtful questions they want to ask during the live call.
Live Video Chat: Share and Exchange Ideas
[Synchronous] Groups meet their partner class via Zoom or Google Meet for 40 minutes. Each group introduces their eco-mission, shows their visual record, answers questions, and listens to the partner class's ideas. Teacher moderates and keeps the conversation focused on learning from each other.
Vote and Adopt: Our New Global Rule
[Offline in your class] After the video call, the class reviews all the eco-ideas shared by the partner class and votes on one outstanding practice to adopt as a new daily classroom rule. Groups reflect on what they learned about environmental action and global collaboration.
