Læringsmål
Students will be able to identify and describe cultural perspectives on technology and computer use across Nigeria and partner countries, recognizing how cultural identity shapes approaches to digital innovation and digital citizenship.
Students will be able to apply critical thinking to analyze similarities and differences in how students from different cultures use computers and technology, collaborating with international peers to develop shared insights about global digital citizenship.
Projekttidslinje
Step 1
Teacher introduces the project purpose, explaining how students will explore cultural perspectives on technology and computers across Nigeria and partner countries
Students learn about the collaboration structure, project goals, and how their local experiences connect to global digital citizenship
Teacher clarifies expectations for intercultural dialogue and sets the tone for respectful, curious exchange
Students review the 2-week timeline and understand how their local experiences will be shared with international peers
Step 4
Students conduct interviews with family members, teachers, or community members about their experiences with computers and technology, recording stories, traditions, and values related to digital use
Students document their findings through photos, audio recordings, or written reflections that capture how their community views technology, innovation, and digital citizenship
Working individually or in small groups, students create presentations using Google Slides, Canva, or short videos that showcase their community's digital culture and perspectives
Students compile their materials and post them on the Project Board, preparing for the international exchange with detailed descriptions of their findings
Step 5
Partner classes present their cultural materials through recorded video exchanges or asynchronous forum posts on the Project Board, sharing their local digital perspectives
Students view peer presentations from the partner classroom and engage in guided discussions using prompts like 'What surprised you?' and 'What similarities do you notice?'
Teams from both classes collaborate in shared Google Docs or digital murals to identify and analyze similarities and differences in how technology is valued, used, and understood across cultures
Students ask specific questions and respond to international peers using the group chat, building empathy and global awareness through direct dialogue
Students create a collaborative digital document or presentation that integrates insights from both classrooms, highlighting key themes about digital citizenship across cultures
Step 6
Students curate and organize all cultural materials from both partner classes into a combined digital gallery, selecting the most compelling stories, images, and videos
Teams prepare talking points and exhibition materials that explain the intercultural learning and what was discovered about digital perspectives across cultures
Students participate in a 'Cultural Exchange Fair' or virtual exhibition, presenting materials to the school community and explaining connections between Nigerian and international digital citizenship
The class creates a joint digital presentation or video compilation integrating all classes' contributions and uploads it to the Project Board as a public celebration of global understanding
Students design thank you materials or closing remarks to share with the partner classroom, documenting the mutual learning achieved together
Step 7
Students reflect individually on their intercultural journey using guiding questions such as 'What did I learn about digital citizenship in other cultures?' and 'How has my understanding of my own culture changed?'
Students complete self-assessment forms evaluating their collaboration, communication, and respect for different perspectives during the project
The class creates a shared reflection mural or collaborative document on the Project Board synthesizing key takeaways and insights about global digital citizenship
Partner classes exchange thank you messages and closing remarks through the group chat, documenting the mutual learning and connections built throughout the project
