Projektaktiviteter
Sign Language Around the World
Students watch short videos introducing basic sign language signs (greetings, numbers, emotions) and learn that deaf people communicate in rich, visual ways. They explore how sign language is used globally and discuss why learning it matters for celebrating World Deaf Day.
Learn and Practice Basic Signs Together
Students work through guided practice sessions, learning 10-15 core signs for greetings, numbers, and emotions. They practice with peers, watch instructional videos, and build confidence signing these words correctly and fluently.
Record and Share Your Signing
Students record short videos of themselves signing the learned words and phrases, then exchange clips with the partner class. They watch the partner class videos and notice differences in how each group signs, comparing techniques and discussing why variations exist.
Live Sign Language Exchange with Partner Class
Students join a live video call with the partner class to greet each other using sign language, show off their recorded videos, ask questions, and celebrate their new skills together. This real-time interaction builds connection and deepens understanding of deaf communication.
Celebrate and Reflect on Our Learning
Students create a short presentation or poster showcasing the signs they learned and what they discovered about deaf culture and communication. They reflect on how sign language connects people across the world and share one new thing they learned about deaf communities.
