Uge 1

Step 1

Fase:Emneintroduktion

Teacher introduces the project purpose by explaining how students will connect with international classmates to practice English while learning about each other's cultures

Students discuss why learning about different cultures matters and what they hope to discover from peers around the world

Teacher clarifies project goals, timeline, and how students will collaborate globally using the Class2Class platform

2
Uge 1

Step 2

Fase:Interkulturel icebreaker

Students create short introduction videos (30-60 seconds) sharing their names, ages, hobbies, and one interesting fact about their community or family

Each class posts their introduction videos on the Project Board for partner classrooms to view

Students watch partner videos and write down 3 questions they want to ask their new international friends

Students participate in a live video call or asynchronous Q&A session on the Class2Class platform where they ask and answer questions with their international peers

Teams collaborate to create a 'Getting to Know You' digital poster using Canva or Google Slides with photos, fun facts, and interesting discoveries from both classes

Step 3

Fase:Undersøgende spørgsmål

Teacher facilitates a discussion around the driving question: 'What aspects of our culture best represent who we are, and what can we learn from how others see their culture?'

Students brainstorm locally in small groups what they want to know about their international peers and what they want to share about themselves

Class creates a shared question bank using a Google Doc and posts initial thoughts and questions on the Project Board for partner classes to see

Students reflect individually on which cultural aspects feel most important to them and why, recording thoughts in a shared digital journal

Uge 1

Step 4

Fase:Lokal udforskning og forberedelse

Students interview family members or community members about traditions, celebrations, favorite foods, or values that matter to them, using a prepared question guide

Students document their findings through photos, drawings, short audio recordings, or written descriptions using tools like Google Docs or Padlet

Students reflect in a personal journal about which aspects of their culture feel most important to them and why, considering how these traditions connect to their identity

Teams organize their discoveries into a mini-presentation format using Google Slides, a digital collage on Canva, or a short video (1-2 minutes)

Each team practices presenting their cultural discoveries and prepares to share with international partners

Uge 2

Step 5

Fase:Fælles produktion og udveksling

Partner classes meet virtually or exchange asynchronously through the Project Board, with each class presenting their cultural discoveries (3-5 minutes per class if synchronous, or uploading videos if asynchronous)

Students actively listen to partner presentations and ask thoughtful questions about traditions, celebrations, and cultural practices they find interesting or unfamiliar

Students take notes on similarities and differences they observe between their own culture and their international peers' cultures, using a comparison chart in a Google Doc

Together, classes create a shared digital document or mural (using Padlet or Google Slides) highlighting what they learned about each other's cultures and what surprised them most

Students post observations and reflections on the Class2Class Project Board to continue the intercultural dialogue with their international partners

Uge 2

Step 6

Fase:Præsentation og formidling

Students organize a 'Cultural Exchange Fair' or digital showcase to celebrate what they learned, deciding on exhibition format and materials together

Teams prepare presentations, create exhibition materials (posters, digital displays, or interactive elements), and assign roles for the showcase

The class uploads final products to the Project Board as a shared international gallery for all participating classes to view

If possible, partner classes collaborate on a joint video or digital presentation (using Google Slides or Canva) that combines contributions and cultural highlights from all participating classes

Students invite other classes or families to view their work through the Class2Class platform or a school-wide sharing event
