Projektaktiviteter
Festival Stories and Traditions Kickoff
Students share photos, drawings, or short videos of their favorite celebrations and explain what makes them special to their families. Partner class does the same, and students explore each other's contributions on a shared board to spark curiosity about the similarities and differences.
Research and Compare Celebrations
Students investigate Pakistani festivals (Eid, 14 August) and their own local celebrations, gathering information about foods, activities, and traditions. They work in small groups to create a simple comparison chart showing what is similar and what is unique between the two cultures.
Live Video Exchange and Feedback
Students and their partner class meet on a video call to present their research, share personal stories about what their celebrations mean to them, and ask questions about each other's traditions. Both classes give feedback on what they found most interesting and surprising.
Design the Celebration Guide Together
Using feedback from the partner class, students work in mixed groups (combining ideas from both cultures) to create a bilingual, illustrated celebration guide with recipes, step-by-step activity instructions, and personal stories. They include drawings, photos, and simple text that could be understood by students worldwide.
Celebrate and Share the Guide
Students present their finished celebration guide to their partner class and reflect on what they learned about each other's cultures. They discuss how the guide honors both traditions and how it could help other students around the world understand and appreciate different celebrations.
