Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to identify and describe fundamental programming concepts like loops, conditions, and variables, and explain how peer code examples from international partners solve similar problems differently.
Students will be able to apply critical thinking and digital literacy to debug simple scripts collaboratively with international peers, demonstrating problem-solving strategies through live code exchange and discussion.
Skills to develop
Project Activities
What Can Code Do? Intro to Logic and Problem-Solving
Students explore real-world examples of code in action, discuss what loops, conditions, and variables do in plain language, and solve a simple logic puzzle together to build confidence and curiosity before writing their first scripts.
Build and Debug: Writing Simple Scripts and Sharing with Partners
Students write short scripts (loops, conditions, variables) using a guided platform, test and debug their code, then exchange code snippets with the partner class asynchronously via a shared forum, reading and discussing how peers solved the same problem differently.
Live Code Review and Problem-Solving Exchange
Students join a live video call with the partner class to present one script, ask questions about partner code, troubleshoot together, and reflect on different problem-solving approaches and why they work.
