Our Classroom Rules: A Closer Look
Students reflect on and list the top three classroom rules, routines, or expectations in their own classroom, discussing why each one matters. They explore the values and cultural practices behind these rules through pair and whole-class conversation.
Exchange and Compare: Rules Around the World
Students receive the partner class's top three rules and create a side-by-side visual comparison chart showing similarities, differences, and interesting observations. They work in small groups to analyze why different communities might have different expectations and prepare questions or reflections to share back.
Celebrate Our Differences: Classroom Rules Showcase
Students present their comparison chart and share key insights about what they learned from the partner class's rules. They reflect on how understanding different classroom cultures helps them become more empathetic global citizens and discuss one new idea they might adopt in their own classroom.
