B - Be a community detective
What is our community like for children? Children look around their neighbourhood and notice what works, what doesn't, and what they would like to change. Each class settles on one challenge that matters to them. Publish your community on the wall: two or three photos or drawings plus what the class noticed.
U - Unpack it, then unleash ideas
Why does this happen, and who does it affect? Children find out more by observing, asking questions and interviewing parents or neighbours, then imagine freely what could be different. Ideas come before practicality. Post the challenge and an early idea on the wall and respond to two other classes.
I - Invent it
Show us your idea. Children turn their best idea into something they can show: a model built with LEGO bricks, a prototype, a drawing, a poster, a presentation or a video. Post work in progress on the wall and give one other class encouragement or a suggestion.
L - Link up
What can other children learn from us, and we from them? Classes publish their work on Class2Class and exchange with classrooms in other countries working on similar challenges. Publish the finished solution on the wall and respond to at least two other classes.
D - Do it better
What did we learn? Children reflect on what they saw elsewhere, improve their idea, and say what they changed and why. Choose one improvement from the feedback on the wall and record what the class would change.
