Attivita del progetto
Parts of Speech Hunt Around Us
Students explore their classroom and nearby community to find real examples of nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pronouns. They take pictures, draw, or collect labels and sort them into simple word categories to build familiarity with each part of speech.
Comparing Words Across Languages with Our Partner Class
Students prepare simple picture cards or drawings showing nouns, verbs, and adjectives from their community, then exchange them with the partner class. They compare how different languages name the same objects and actions, discussing similarities and differences together.
Sorting and Matching Word Games
Students work in small groups to sort word cards and images by parts of speech, play matching games, and practice reading short sentences aloud together. The teacher guides them to notice patterns and build confidence in recognizing and using each word type.
Creating Our Own Sentences with Partner Feedback
Students create simple sentences using nouns, verbs, adjectives, and pronouns from their community hunt, then share drawings or written work with the partner class for peer feedback. Partners ask questions and celebrate what they learned about each other's languages and cultures.
Sharing Our Parts of Speech Discovery
Students present their favorite words, pictures, and sentences to the class and reflect on what they learned about how languages describe the world. They celebrate the connections they made with their international partners and share one new word they discovered.
