Welcome to Our Classroom: Project Introduction
Teacher presents the 'My School, Your School' project goals and explains how students will connect with classrooms worldwide to share their school experiences through games, stories, and art. Students learn about intercultural communication, discuss what they're excited to discover about schools in other countries, and understand their role as cultural ambassadors. The teacher guides students through the project timeline and introduces the Class2Class platform where collaboration will happen.
All About Me: My School Story
Students create a short slides presentation introducing themselves, their interests, and what makes their school experience special. They share personal details, favorite activities, and what they hope to learn from their partner class.
Landmarks, Traditions, and Culture Around the World
Students research and present key landmarks, geographical features, traditions, and cultural practices from their own country, then explore and compare similar information shared by the partner classroom. They discuss what these elements reveal about how people live and learn in different parts of the world.
Capture Our School Story
Students work in small groups to photograph or illustrate their favorite school spaces, traditions, and daily moments, then write short captions explaining what makes each one special. These materials will be shared in the digital gallery with partner classes.
Talent Show Showcase with Partner Class
Students prepare and perform a talent show featuring their skills, interests, and creativity, then share it live or via video with their partner classroom internationally. They watch and celebrate their peers' performances from around the world, building connection and appreciation for each other's talents.
Peer Feedback and Questions Exchange
Students review contributions from their partner class, write constructive feedback on what they learned or found interesting, and create follow-up questions to deepen their understanding of how school life differs around the world. Partners respond asynchronously, building a dialogue that strengthens intercultural connections.
Letters and Keepsakes Exchange with Partner Class
Students write personal letters or create small handmade souvenirs (bookmarks, drawings, crafts) to send to their partner class, sharing a piece of their school culture and building a tangible connection across borders. Partners receive and respond with their own letters and keepsakes, creating a meaningful two-way exchange that deepens friendships and cultural understanding.
