Step 1: Empathize
- Each class organized their first discussions or debates to better understand the topic.
- The classes held a video call to analyze the situation of bullying in their respective contexts and to share their experiences and ideas.
Step 2: Define
- Both classes analyzed the information gathered from interviews and discussions.
- They identified key issues related to bullying in their respective schools.
Step 3: Ideate
- Jamila's class brainstormed solutions, including:
- "Spinning wheel game" with positive messages
- "Anti-bullying bracelets" with encouraging words
- Anuradha's class developed ideas such as:
- "Complaint Box" for reporting bullying
- Live lessons on anti-bullying
- "Anti-Bullying Squad" of student volunteers
- "Attractive Notice Board" with anti-bullying messages
Step 4: Prototype and test
- Jamila's students:
- Created a cardboard spinning wheel with positive messages.
- Designed and made sample anti-bullying bracelets.
- Anuradha's students:
- Designed a layout for the "Attractive Notice Board" .
- Prepared content for the notice board, including powerful messages and images.
- Both classes implemented their prototypes in their respective schools:
- Jamila's class placed the spinning wheel in the school playground and distributed bracelets.
- Anuradha's class set up the notice board on the school premises.
Step 5: Presentation
- Students from both classes shared their experiences and results with each other through another video call.
- They discussed the impact of their initiatives and potential improvements.
