Our School in 60 Seconds: Icebreaker Video Exchange
Students watch a brief introductory video from the partner class and create a short, fun video (1-2 minutes) introducing their own school, key routines, and what makes it unique. This kicks off the project and builds excitement for the exchange.
Deep Dive: Analyze Partner School Videos
In small groups, students watch and analyze the partner class's full school videos, noting details about teaching styles, daily routines, subjects, rules, and culture. They complete a comparison chart identifying similarities and differences with their own school.
Prepare Questions and Observations for Live Exchange
Students synthesize their analysis and work together to develop thoughtful questions, observations, and talking points for the upcoming video call with the partner class. They practice intercultural communication by focusing on curiosity, respect, and genuine dialogue.
Live Video Call: Dialogue and Cultural Exchange
Students participate in a real-time video call with the partner class, asking prepared questions, sharing observations, and discussing how education reflects cultural values and contexts in both countries. The teacher moderates to ensure all voices are heard and dialogue stays respectful and engaged.
Reflect and Present: What We Learned About Global Education
Students create a final presentation or digital portfolio reflecting on key insights from the exchange, what surprised them, how education differs across cultures, and why intercultural dialogue matters. They share their learning with the class and reflect on their own growth in global awareness.
