Actividades del proyecto
English Around the World: Meet Your Partner Class
Students introduce themselves and their proficiency level through short video messages, then watch introductions from the partner class to build familiarity and excitement. This icebreaker establishes the international community and helps students understand the range of English abilities they will encounter.
Prepare Your Contest Entry: Research, Plan, and Record
Students choose their contest category (poem recitation, storytelling, talent show, picture description, role play, or problem-solving), research examples from their culture and others, plan their entry with teacher feedback, and record a high-quality video submission. This core activity spans multiple sessions and builds digital literacy and language confidence.
Analyze Global Entries: Compare Styles and Cultures
Students watch contest entries from partner classes, complete a comparison chart noting language choices, cultural expressions, and communication styles, then discuss what they notice about how different cultures present similar ideas. This activity develops critical thinking and intercultural awareness.
Live Video Celebration and Peer Feedback
Students participate in a live video call with the partner class to celebrate entries, ask questions about each other's performances, and give constructive feedback. This real-time exchange creates a shared moment of achievement and deepens intercultural connection.
Reflect and Reimagine: Your Learning Journey
Students review feedback from international peers and their own performance, reflect on what they learned about English, cultural differences, and themselves as communicators, then sketch ideas for an enhanced version of their entry that blends feedback with new cultural insights. This closing activity consolidates learning and celebrates growth.
