Skills to develop
Project Activities
Stories Around Us: What Challenges Do We See?
Students explore real problems in their community through discussion, observation, and interviews. They identify a challenge they care about and share it with the partner class via a short recorded introduction video.
From Problem to Story: Planning Your Video Narrative
Students research their chosen challenge, brainstorm how video storytelling can communicate a solution, and create a storyboard or script outlining their video's message, characters, and key scenes.
Filming and First Edits: Building Your Story in CapCut
Students film their video stories using phones or tablets, then learn and apply CapCut editing techniques, including transitions, titles, effects, and sound, to bring their narratives to life.
Global Premiere and Live Feedback Exchange
Students watch videos from their partner class in a live video call, explain their creative choices and the problem they tackled, and receive real-time feedback from international peers on how well their storytelling communicated their message.
Refine, Reflect, and Celebrate
Students review feedback from their global audience, make final edits to improve their videos, and reflect on what they learned about digital storytelling, creative choices, and how video can inspire change.
Showcase Your Story and Learning Journey
Students present their final edited videos and explain how their creative decisions helped communicate their message to a global audience. They reflect on their growth in digital skills and collaboration.
