Students will be able to demonstrate creative thinking by proposing environmental solutions in their e-book entries and applying ideas from global peers to their local context.
Students will be able to analyze and compare different environmental solutions presented in partner e-books, distinguishing which approaches work best for different communities and cultures.
Students will be able to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of various environmental solutions by writing thoughtful comments that assess how global perspectives can address local challenges.

Local Environmental Detective: Identify and Share Our Problem
Students explore an environmental problem from their own community through observation, family interviews, or research. They document what they find and explain why this problem matters, preparing to see how other classes face similar or different challenges.

Students read e-book entries from the partner class, identify patterns in the environmental problems and solutions described, and write thoughtful comments comparing different approaches. They explain which solutions might work best in different communities and why.
Reflect and Present: What We Learned from Global Peers
Students share one key insight from the partner e-books and explain how an idea from another community could help solve a problem in their own context. They reflect on what they discovered by reading solutions from around the world.
