Cronograma del proyecto
Step 1
Teacher presents the Cultural Exchange project purpose, explaining how students will connect with Indonesian partner schools to explore cultural identity, traditions, and values through Activity 1
Students review the Class2Class platform features, including the Project Board for sharing work, group functionality for teamwork, and group chat for communication
Students ask clarifying questions about the two-week timeline and learning goals, and express initial excitement about collaborating with international peers
Step 2
Partner classes introduce themselves through Activity 2 by creating short creative presentations (videos, digital murals, or photo galleries) highlighting key aspects of their culture, community, and what they are excited to share
Students engage in an initial exchange via the Project Board or video call, asking questions about their Indonesian partners and noting similarities they observe
Teams collaborate to create a collaborative digital mural on the Class2Class platform where both classes post images, symbols, or words representing their cultural identity
Students post their introduction materials on the Project Board for the partner classroom to view and comment on
Step 3
Students brainstorm in small teams what they want to understand about their own culture and their Indonesian peers' cultures, recording ideas on a shared Google Doc
The class votes on or co-creates a central driving question such as 'What aspects of our culture best represent who we are?' or 'How do traditions reflect what we value as a community?'
Teams document initial thoughts and questions on a shared digital board or poster using Padlet
Partner classes exchange their driving questions via the group chat and agree on a shared focus for the project that will guide the cultural exploration
Step 4
Students conduct interviews with family or community members about local traditions, celebrations, or values, recording responses in a shared Google Doc or journal
Each student collects photos, videos, or audio recordings that represent important aspects of their culture and community
Students create individual or small-group mini-presentations using Google Slides or Canva showcasing what they learned, including stories, images, and personal reflections
Each student reflects in a personal journal on which aspects of their culture they feel most connected to and why, considering how these connect to the driving question
Work-in-progress materials are shared on the Project Board for peer feedback from classmates and the partner classroom
Step 5
Partner classes present their cultural materials in a synchronous video call or asynchronous forum exchange, sharing creative products such as videos, podcasts, digital murals, or infographics
Students take detailed notes on similarities and differences observed between their culture and their Indonesian partners' culture, documenting insights in a shared collaborative Google Doc or Padlet mural
Teams engage in respectful dialogue by asking prepared questions and responding thoughtfully to their international peers' presentations
Students analyze how cultural practices reflect different values and worldviews, discussing findings in small groups and building empathy and curiosity for diverse perspectives
The class uses the group chat to ask follow-up questions and share real-time reactions during the exchange
Step 6
Students organize a local 'Cultural Exchange Fair' or virtual exhibition showcasing what they learned from their Indonesian international partners
Teams create exhibition materials such as posters, displays, video screenings, or interactive presentations that highlight key intercultural insights and cultural elements from both countries
Students prepare talking points about key intercultural discoveries, explaining what surprised them and what connections they found between cultures
The class uploads final exhibition products to the Project Board as a shared international gallery for both classrooms to view
Partner classes coordinate a joint virtual celebration or closing event highlighting the richness of both cultures and the learning achieved together through the exchange
Step 7
Students participate in a guided reflection discussion using prompts such as 'What did I learn about my Indonesian classmates?' and 'What did I discover about my own culture?'
Individuals complete a self-assessment rubric evaluating their communication skills, collaboration abilities, and respect for diversity demonstrated throughout the project
Peer feedback is exchanged where students highlight each other's strengths and growth areas in intercultural communication and teamwork
A shared digital reflection mural is created on Padlet where both classes post key takeaways, insights, and personal learning moments from the cultural exchange
Students exchange thank you messages or appreciation videos with their Indonesian international partners, and the class co-creates a final synthesis document summarizing intercultural insights and learning outcomes
