Actividades del proyecto
Home Sweet Home: Getting to Know Each Other
Students share their favorite room at home and one thing they do there, then play a guessing game to match descriptions with classmates. This icebreaker helps students feel comfortable talking about their homes and builds curiosity about how others live.
Exploring Our Homes: Photos, Stories, and Comparisons
Students take photos or draw pictures of different rooms in their homes and write simple captions about what happens there and who lives with them. They then compare their homes with classmates, noting similarities and differences in family life, responsibilities, and daily routines.
Live Video Exchange: Sharing Homes Around the World
Students participate in a live video call with the partner class to show and discuss their home photos or drawings, ask questions about how homes are similar or different, and discover fun facts about family life in another country. This real-time interaction builds intercultural understanding and emotional connection.
Reflecting on Our Global Home Community
Students create a simple visual or written reflection showing what they learned about homes and families around the world, and share one thing that surprised them or made them curious. This celebration of learning reinforces intercultural respect and student voice.
Creating a Home Responsibility Chart Together
Students design a visual chart showing daily household tasks they do at home, then share their charts with the partner class to discover which responsibilities are similar or different across cultures. They discuss why certain tasks matter in their families and what they learn from how other children help at home.
Home Safety and Healthy Habits Around the World
Students research and create a simple poster or infographic about one home safety rule or healthy habit important in their family, then exchange these with the partner class asynchronously to learn how other families keep safe and healthy. They compare practices and discuss why homes might have different safety needs.
My Home, Your Home: A Collaborative Story Book
Working with their partner class, students co-create a simple illustrated storybook or digital album that pairs photos and stories from both classrooms, showing what makes a house feel like home. Each pair of classes contributes pages that celebrate their own home while learning from and celebrating their partners' homes.
Conversation Circles: Building Confidence to Share
Students practice speaking about their homes and families in small, supportive groups before the live video exchange. Through guided conversation prompts and peer listening, they build confidence, refine their ideas, and learn to ask respectful questions about how other families live.
