What is School Life Like Here? Icebreaker and Introduction
Students share photos, drawings, or short descriptions of their typical school day, including favorite subjects, break times, and classroom setup. This warm-up helps the class reflect on their own school experience and prepares them to ask meaningful questions of their partner class.
Preparing Interview Questions and Learning About Our Partner Class
Students work in small groups to brainstorm and refine interview questions about school life, subjects, routines, and responsibilities. The teacher introduces the partner class through a short video or message, and students predict similarities and differences before conducting interviews.
Conducting Interviews and Gathering Stories
Students interview their partner-class peers using prepared questions, either through a scheduled video call, recorded video messages, or asynchronous written exchanges. They take notes on responses and collect examples of daily routines, classroom rules, and school traditions.
Analyzing and Creating Comparison Charts
Students organize interview data into comparison charts or infographics showing what is the same and what is different between their school and the partner class.
