Kick-off: Strict or Kind? Share Our Classroom Experiences
Students and partner-class students meet by video to introduce themselves and share what strict and kind teaching look like in their classrooms. Together they agree on a simple shared interview protocol.
Interview Classmates and Partner-Class Students
Students in pairs interview peers in both classes using the shared protocol, asking how strict or kind teaching affects their motivation and behavior. They record and organize the answers in a shared evidence sheet.
Compare Patterns Across Both Classes
Mixed groups from both countries look for patterns in the interview evidence and discuss how cultural context may shape views on strict and kind teaching. They note similarities, differences, and surprising findings.
Evaluate Which Approaches Work Best for 13 to 15 Year Olds
Students weigh the evidence and decide which classroom management approaches seem most effective for their age group. They justify their judgment with examples and reflect on students' emotional needs.
Share Findings and Reflect Together
Each group presents its conclusions in a joint video session and discusses what they learned about empathy and classroom relationships. Students finish by reflecting on how their views changed.
