Students will be able to identify and describe key periods, figures, and cultural elements in Indian history and recognize basic Hindi greetings and words through collaborative exchange with international peers.
Students will be able to demonstrate intercultural communication by comparing historical events and cultural traditions from their own country with India's while collaborating with a partner class to create a visual timeline or word chart.

India Across Time: Discover Stories and Traditions
Students explore key periods and figures in Indian history through images, videos, and short stories, then discuss what they find interesting and surprising. They record initial observations and questions to share with the partner class.
Timeline and Word Chart Creation
Students research and collect historical events from their own country and India, then work in small groups to create a visual timeline or word chart comparing the two. Groups prepare their work to exchange asynchronously with the partner class.
Hindi Basics and Cultural Exchange
Students learn and practice basic Hindi greetings, numbers, and everyday words through interactive lessons and games. They record short video or audio messages introducing themselves in Hindi and respond to similar messages from the partner class.
Peer Feedback and Comparison Discussion
Students review the partner class's timeline and word chart, provide constructive feedback using a simple form, and discuss similarities and differences they notice between their country's history and India's. They reflect on what they learned about Indian culture and language.
Showcase and Reflection
Students present their final timeline, word chart, and Hindi learning to the class, sharing what surprised them most about Indian history and culture. They reflect on how working with international peers helped them understand India and the world better.
