Texture Hunt and Colour Chat

Students explore fabrics and textiles around their home and classroom, noticing different textures and colours. They share what they find with their partner class through photos and simple descriptions, learning what textures and colours are special in their partner's community.

Fabric Stories and Design Ideas

Students look at the photos and descriptions from their partner class and talk about what textures and colours they like. Together with their teacher, they sketch simple clothing designs that mix ideas from both communities, choosing textures and colours that tell a story about both places.

Make Your Textured Clothes

Students create their own clothing piece or fabric art using real materials like felt, thread, buttons, and paint, combining textures and colours inspired by both their own community and their partner class's ideas. They work over several sessions, experimenting and improving their designs.
