Getting Started: Words and Pictures from Our Classroom
Students explore CVC words and simple sentences from their own classroom and daily life. They share examples of words and sentences they know, discuss what makes a good activity book page, and introduce themselves to the partner class through a short video or message.
Create and Illustrate Our Activity Book Pages
Students work in pairs or small groups to write original CVC words, simple sentences, and grammar exercises that reflect their classroom and community. They draw pictures to go with their sentences and arrange their pages so they are clear and fun for young learners around the world.
Review, Choose, and Combine Our Best Pages
The class reviews all pages created by both classrooms, gives feedback on clarity and creativity, and selects the strongest pages to include in the final activity book. Students arrange the pages in order and discuss how the book reflects both cultures and languages.
Share Our Activity Book and Celebrate
Students present the finished bilingual activity book to the partner class and reflect on what they learned about working together across cultures. They share how their sentences and drawings help other children learn English.
