Connect with Korea: Low-Commitment Culture Box Exchange for High Schools
What is this project about?
We are inviting high schools to join our Geography Club for a special online cultural exchange. This program allows students to share insights into global cultures, school life, and daily routines through presentations and Q&A. This is a one-time event, so it's a small commitment. We hope many schools will apply to make new connections.

Learning Outcomes
This program allows students to share insights into Korean and foreign cultures, school life, and daily routines through presentations and Q&A. Our school is one of the few in Korea that teaches Russian, and our students are very interested in world affairs. We hope this program offers students a new experience and a chance to share diverse perspectives.

Presentation
The exchange will include one live online session with 20 students, to be scheduled on either November 7th, November 21st, or December 19th, from 14:50 to 16:40 KST (GMT+9).
Step 1. Before the live session, students will prepare for 1-2 asynchronous sessions. In these sessions, they'll get ready to introduce themselves, their schools, and their local areas. They will also prepare presentations on traditional and popular culture, (e.g. Hanbok and K-pop, traditional clothing and folk music). Additionally, students will choose items for their "Culture Box" and get them ready for shipping.
Step 2. The live session will feature student presentations and Q&A on topics such as the environment, career paths, and leisure activities. A highlight will be the "Culture Box" opening ceremony, where students from each country will unveil and introduce the items they've prepared.

My first international exchange using this platform was very successful. Through this experience, I and the students can grow into global citizens. And I gained the confidence to try more and more exchanges in the future. Thank you to my teacher in Indonesia Mr. Muhammad Fajar Sidiq Al-Saidi for giving me a precious opportunity.
