The Climate Action Project through COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) with National Tung-Shih Senior High School in Taiwan has been an enriching experience for both my students and me as their teacher. Witnessing students from different cultural backgrounds work together to find solutions and address the urgent issue of climate change has been truly inspiring. Through collaborative research, discussions, and solution presentations, students have not only deepened their understanding of climate science and its global implications but have also cultivated valuable cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills. Seeing their passion and dedication to making a positive impact on the environment reaffirms my belief in the power of education to foster global citizenship and drive meaningful change. This project has not only created a borderless classroom but has also instilled a sense of responsibility and empowerment in our students to be active agents of change in addressing the most pressing challenges of our time.
