Presentation

Phase:Presentation & Dissemination

1. My Heroic Ancestor (2-minute presentation)
Each student selects an ancestor (real family member or famous historical figure) and shares:

Who they were

What they did

Why they are remembered

What we can learn from them

→ Encourage personal stories if possible (example: great-grandparent who helped during freedom movement, farmer who taught eco-friendly ways, etc.)

2. Ancestor Art/Map Activity
Before the session, students prepare a visual:

A family tree up to great-grandparents

OR a map showing where their ancestors came from

OR a drawing/painting that represents ancestral life (like traditional homes, farming tools, festivals)

They will present this during the Zoom session.

3. Wisdom Wall – 1 Line Legacy
Each participant writes and shares 1 powerful quote or lesson from their ancestor (e.g. “Hard work never fails” – from my grandfather).

It will be compiled into a digital "Wisdom Wall Poster" after the session.

🌏 Honoring Our Ancestors – A Special Global Sharing 🌿 We had a wonderful online meeting where students from different countries shared about their ancestors. They spoke about their grandparents, their culture, and the special traditions passed down through families. It was a touching and beautiful session that helped us learn more about each other. 🇺🇦 Ukraine – With Tr. Oksana Students from Ukraine shared lovely memories of their grandparents. They talked about the values they learned, like kindness and respect. Their stories showed how family love and lessons continue to live in their hearts and lives. 🇲🇾 Malaysia – With Tr. Vathsala Students from Malaysia spoke about their country’s rich mix of cultures. They talked about the Malays, Chinese, Indians, and the native tribes. They shared about traditional clothes, food, and festivals. Their message was clear: we should protect and celebrate our traditions. India – With Tr. Hanumant Sir Tr. Hanumant sir shared stories about Indian communities that care for nature like a family member. They spoke about the Devrai Foundation, where forests are treated with great respect. His son Abhinav showed about his own family and sir narrated how their dress and traditions have changed over time. It was inspiring to see the connection between the past and present in one family. They reminded us that taking care of nature is a gift we give to future generations. My Students – India My students spoke about the Toda and Badaga tribes in the Nilgiri Hills. They shared about their special customs, weddings, dress, and way of life. Their stories helped us understand how these tribes have kept their culture strong for many years. This session was full of learning, love, and respect. It showed us that no matter where we come from, we are all connected through the stories of our ancestors. We must keep their traditions alive and pass them on to the next generation. A big thank you to www.class2class.org for bringing us all together. With respect, Jhansi Ravikumar Ambassador, www.class2class.org
