What is this project about?

"Ocean Olympics" is an exciting and educational project idea that engages students aged 6 to 13 from around the world in a series of fun ocean-themed challenges and competitions. Through contests and collaborative activities, students will dive into the fascinating world of marine life and learn about ocean conservation. By combining learning with play, this project aims to inspire young ocean enthusiasts and foster a lasting commitment to protecting our blue planet.

Phase:Presentation & Dissemination

Step 1: Ocean trivia tournament

  • Students form international teams and compete in ocean trivia tournaments.
  • Questions cover various topics, such as marine biodiversity, ocean geography, and conservation issues.
  • Teams collaborate to research and prepare for the tournaments, building knowledge and teamwork skills.

Step2: Marine masterpiece challenge 
  • Teams are given a marine-related theme, such as coral reefs, whales, or ocean pollution.
  • Students work together to create a collaborative artwork, such as a collage, mural, or sculpture, based on the theme.
  • Teams present their masterpieces to the global community and vote for their favorite creations.

Step3: World Oceans Day Grand Finale
  • Teams participate in a multi-round ocean-themed game show, testing their knowledge and skills.
  • Challenges include ocean trivia, marine life charades, and conservation problem-solving scenarios.
  • The top-performing teams are recognized and celebrated in a virtual awards ceremony.
