Presentation

Phase:Presentation & Dissemination

Step 1: Research and exploration

  • Initial research on global health challenges and the significance of World Health Day.
  • Share and discuss findings with international peers, focusing on health issues pertinent to each country.

Step 2: Campaign development and presentation
  • Collaboratively design a health advocacy campaign tailored to a specific health challenge.
  • Present campaigns to the wider Class2Class.org community and discuss potential real-world applications.

Collaborative Activities
  • Virtual health fair. Students create digital posters or videos showcasing health practices from their country, followed by a virtual exchange where they present and discuss their findings.
  • Campaign co-creation. Small mixed-nationality groups use Class2Class.org’s Collaborate section to develop and refine their health advocacy campaigns, using tools like shared documents and project boards for coordination.

Assessment and reflection

  • Assessment. Evaluate students on their research depth, creative use of digital tools for their campaigns, and ability to engage in thoughtful discussion with international peers.
  • Reflection. Encourage students to reflect on how this project has altered their perception of health and to identify one healthy habit they commit to adopting or advocating for in their community.

Teacher tips

  • Use the board or the resources section of the project page on Class2Class.org platform to share the materials your students need to carry out the activities.
  • Foster engagement. Encourage students to share personal stories or local news related to health during discussions to make the experience more relatable.
  • Overcome challenges. Be ready to facilitate discussions across time zones and help students navigate any language barriers they may encounter.

This project not only commemorates World Health Day but also provides students with a valuable opportunity to learn digital skills, foster empathy and cross-cultural understanding, and actively contribute to the promotion of global health.
