What is this project about?
"Global Leadership Lab" is an immersive project that challenges students aged 13-19 to develop their leadership and teamwork skills through a series of collaborative innovation challenges. By working in diverse international teams, students will explore real-world issues, generate creative solutions, and develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders and change-makers in their communities and beyond.

Step 1: Introduce the Global Leadership Lab
- Engage students in discussions about the qualities and skills of effective leaders and the importance of collaboration in driving innovation.
- Present the project as an opportunity for students to develop their leadership and teamwork skills through a series of global innovation challenges.
- Use inspiring examples of young leaders and innovators to motivate and empower students.
Step 2: Form Global Innovation Teams
- Connect with partner classes from different countries through the Class2Class.org platform.
- Facilitate the formation of diverse global innovation teams, ensuring a mix of skills, backgrounds, and perspectives.
- Encourage teams to establish roles and communication protocols.
Step 3: Leadership and Innovation Workshops
- Conduct a series of interactive workshops on leadership and innovation skills, such as:
- Effective communication and active listening
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Conflict resolution and negotiation
- Design thinking and creative problem-solving
- Invite guest speakers or mentors with expertise in leadership and innovation to share their insights and experiences.
Step 4: Global Innovation Challenges
- Present to the teams a series of real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For example:
- No Poverty (SDG#1)
- Zero Hunger (SDG#2)
- Good Health and Well-being (SDG#3)
- Each challenge should require teams to apply their leadership and innovation skills to generate creative solutions.
- Provide a structured innovation process, such as design thinking, to guide teams through the stages of problem identification, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
- Encourage teams to collaborate virtually, leveraging online tools and platforms to share ideas, provide feedback, and develop their solutions.
Step 5: Global Leadership Summit
- Organize a virtual Global Leadership Summit where teams present their innovative solutions to the challenges.
- Invite a panel of experts, mentors, and community leaders to provide feedback and recognition.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions on the role of youth in driving global change and the importance of collaboration and innovation.
- Celebrate the achievements and growth of all participants through a virtual award ceremony and showcase.
