Step 1: Introduction and research

  • Use the "Connect" section to find a partner class.
  • Create the project and invite your partner class.
  • Teachers introduce the project and its objectives to their students.
  • Students research popular sports and notable athletes from their own country and their partner class's country.

Step 2: Collaborative activity
  • Organize students to work in groups.
  • They will create a digital "World Sports Yearbook" that showcases different sports and athletes from both countries.

    • Country of origin
    • Key facts or achievements
    • Cultural significance of the sport/athlete
    • High-quality images (remind students to use copyright-free images or their own photographs)
    • Use the Class2Class.org project board to share design ideas and templates.

Step 3: Sharing and reflection
  • Organize a virtual meeting between the classes.
  • Students present their findings on the sports and athletes from their country.
  • Students participate in a Q&A session to deepen understanding and curiosity about the sports cultures of their international peers.
  • Reflect on what students have learned about each other's sports cultures.
  • Discuss how sports contribute to global unity and well-being.

Assessment and reflection ✍️

  • Evaluate students' research skills and presentation quality.
  • Assess participation and collaborative activities.
  • Consider the depth of cultural understanding demonstrated in the "Global Sports Yearbook."
  • Use the Class2Class.org project board to post reflection prompts:
    • What surprised you most about sports in your partner country?

    • What similarities and differences did you notice between sporting cultures?
