Presentation

Phase:Presentation & Dissemination

Step 1: Research and preparation

  • Teachers introduce the project by explaining its purpose and guiding students to explore the topic.
  • Students research birthday traditions and coming-of-age ceremonies in their own culture, preparing presentations that include images, videos, and personal stories.

Step 2: Virtual Exchange
  • Classes connect through the board on the Class2Class.org platform to share their presentations.
  • Students are guided to actively participate in discussions, analyzing and comparing similarities and differences between the presented traditions.
  • Groups of 4 to 5 students are formed to create interactive quizzes about birthday customs. These quizzes can be shared on the board to engage classmates in testing and reinforcing their newly acquired knowledge in a dynamic way.

Step 3: Reflection and celebration
  • Coordinate with the partner class to set a date for the virtual meeting.
  • Establish a session plan to ensure balanced participation from all students.
  • Moderate a discussion where students share:
    • Similarities and differences they observed in birthday traditions.
    • How these traditions reflect cultural and family values.
    • The most surprising or interesting aspects they discovered.
  • Invite students to share how this experience helped them get to know their international peers better.
  • Record key ideas on the board of the platform to continue the conversation after the meeting.
