Students will be able to identify and describe how their local perspectives on a shared lesson topic differ from those of their international partner classroom.
Students will be able to demonstrate collaborative intercultural communication by comparing their pre and post worksheet responses with peers from other countries to recognize patterns in learning.

Project Activities
Heat and Expansion Around the World
Students complete the pre-worksheet on heat, thermal expansion, and states of matter, then share their initial ideas with the class. Introduce the international partner class and explain that students from different countries will be answering the same questions, and together you'll discover what's similar and different about how they learn.
Pre and Post Worksheet Completion and Initial Analysis
Students work through all worksheet parts (multiple choice, matching, case studies, state changes, and hands-on observations) over several sessions, recording their thinking carefully. After completing the post-worksheet, they review their own pre and post responses to notice what they learned and what was confusing.
Exchange and Compare with Partner Class
Students receive the completed pre and post worksheets from their international partner class and work in small groups to compare responses side by side. They identify patterns, such as which questions were answered similarly across both classes and which showed big differences, and discuss possible reasons (different textbooks, prior knowledge, local examples, language).
Deep Dive: Why Do Concepts Land Differently?
Students analyze their findings to understand why certain concepts were harder or easier across cultures. They create a short written or visual explanation of 2-3 patterns they noticed and propose reasons based on local context, school resources, or how the lesson was taught.
Showcase Learning and Reflect on Global Collaboration
Students present their key findings about how heat and expansion concepts were understood differently across the two classrooms, share what they learned from their international peers, and reflect on how working with students from another country helped them think more deeply about science.
