Project Activities

1

What Matters to Us: Sharing Our Stories

Students introduce themselves and the global challenge they care about, then watch a sample 2-3 minute personal message from the partner class to understand the format and get inspired. This kicks off the project and builds comfort with storytelling.

Duration: 30 minutes
2

Recording Personal Narratives on Global Challenges

Students research a global challenge relevant to their community, reflect on why it matters to them personally, and record a 2-3 minute audio or video message sharing their perspective and values. They prepare notes beforehand to keep recordings focused and authentic.

Duration: 120 minutes
Delivery: Video
3

Live Video Exchange and Listening Session

Students watch messages from the partner class, take notes on key themes and perspectives, and participate in a live video call to ask questions, share reactions, and discuss similarities and differences in how each class views the challenges. This real-time interaction builds intercultural understanding.

Duration: 90 minutes
Delivery: Video
4

Comparing Perspectives and Finding Common Ground

Students analyze the recorded messages and video discussion notes to identify cultural values, shared concerns, and different approaches to the same global challenge. They create a comparison chart or written reflection showing what they learned about their peers' worldviews and what unites them across borders.

Duration: 90 minutes
Delivery: Comparative Chart
5

Reflecting on Intercultural Learning and Shared Responsibility

Students reflect on how their understanding of the global challenge and of their international peers has changed, and articulate what they will do next—either individually or as a class—to address the issue. They share key insights in a final presentation or discussion forum with the partner class.

Duration: 30 minutes
6

Dialogue Across Cultures: Responding to Peer Stories

Students listen to recordings from the partner class and write thoughtful written responses that ask questions, share related experiences, and reflect on how the other class's perspective challenges or expands their own understanding of the global challenge.

Duration: 75 minutes
