Meet the partner class and introduce our number systems
Students get to know the partner class, share a quick number fact from their own lives, and hear how the other class counts. Teams start thinking about what makes a number system work.
Duration: 15 minutes

Design, test and write a guide for our own number system
In small teams, students create their own symbols and counting rules, solve simple counting and addition problems with them, and write a short guide. They then prepare to teach the system during the video call.
Duration: 75 minutes

Video call: teach our system and test whether the other class can use it
Each team teaches its number system to the partner class and tries to solve a problem together. Both classes compare their systems, note strengths and differences, and suggest which rules need revising.
Duration: 30 minutes
