What Games Do We Play? Exploring Our Cultural Traditions

Students share and discuss traditional games they know from their own culture, exploring why these games matter to their families and communities. The class together identifies one or two games to document and share with the partner class.

Duration: 40 minutes

Learn, Document, and Share Our Game

Students learn the chosen traditional game(s) in detail, then create a clear video or written guide explaining the rules, equipment, and cultural significance. These materials are uploaded to the Class2Class platform for the partner class to access.

Play and Compare Games from Around the World

Students receive game instructions from the partner class, play those games together, and keep notes on what they enjoyed, found challenging, and learned about the other culture. They prepare feedback to share back with their partners.

Duration: 100 minutes

Reflect on Cultural Connections and Favorite Games

Students compare the games they played, discuss what each game reveals about different cultures and values, and share their favorite discoveries. The class creates a simple reflection piece (written, drawn, or recorded) celebrating what they learned about themselves and their global peers.

Duration: 70 minutes

Showcase Our Learning: Game Tournament and Cultural Celebration

Students host a final celebration where they play their favorite games from both cultures, present their reflections on what they discovered, and share a message of thanks and friendship with the partner class.
