Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to identify and describe diverse perspectives on themes of human rights, social control, and resistance as presented in selected literature and articulated by peers from different cultural backgrounds.
Students will be able to demonstrate open-minded empathy by actively listening to and interpreting how international classmates' cultural contexts shape their understanding of literary themes related to humanity and society.
Students will be able to analyze and compare how different cultural backgrounds influence the interpretation of essential questions about longevity, human rights, and social control across collaborative literary discussions.
Students will be able to evaluate the social values and global issues discovered through cross-cultural literary analysis and assess how these insights can inform meaningful community action.
Students will be able to design and create an innovative digital advocacy campaign or action plan that addresses identified global issues while integrating insights from diverse cultural perspectives and demonstrating networked community problem-solving skills.
