Project Activities

1

Smart Cities Kick-off Video Call with the Partner Class

Students meet their partner class, introduce their city, and share what they already know about smart city technologies like energy-efficient buildings and smart transport. Together, the two classes agree on a shared comparison framework.

Duration: 45 minutes
2

Research Smart Solutions in Our City and Partner City

In small teams, students research two or three smart city technologies in their own community and in the partner city, using the shared comparison framework. They record their findings in a common shared document or board.

Duration: 120 minutes
Delivery: Research Brief
3

Compare and Analyze Which Solutions Work Best and Why

Mixed teams from both classes compare how each solution performs in each city, explain the reasons behind the differences, and decide which solutions work best in each place. They discuss their ideas through asynchronous messages and a short shared discussion.

Duration: 90 minutes
Delivery: Comparative Chart
4

Joint Video Call: Presenting Our Evaluation of Smart Community Solutions

Each team presents its conclusions on which smart community solutions work best in each partner city and justifies them. Both classes then discuss the findings together and reflect on what they learned about global collaboration.

Duration: 65 minutes
Delivery: Video
