Skills to develop
Project Activities
Welcome to Our School: Icebreaker & Gallery Walk
Students view photos and drawings of their own classroom and school, then participate in a guided gallery walk where they point out and discuss what they see, what they like, and what makes their school special. This introduces the topic and builds excitement for connecting with the partner class.
Capture Our School Life: Photo & Drawing Collection
Students work in small groups to photograph or draw different parts of their school day, classroom, lunch, recess, and favorite activities. They add simple captions or labels in English and organize their images into a digital or poster gallery to share with the partner class.
Questions & Comparisons: Exchange with Partner Class
Students view the partner class's school-life gallery and write 2-3 thoughtful questions about what they see. They also note similarities and differences they notice. The partner class responds with answers and their own questions, creating a back-and-forth exchange over several days.
Celebrate Our Discoveries: Reflection & Showcase
Students create a simple poster or short presentation showing one key similarity and one key difference they discovered, along with a sentence about what they learned or appreciated about the partner class's school life. They share their reflections in a class showcase or circle.
