Project Activities
Meet Your Partner Class and Explore SDGs Together
Students introduce themselves to their international partner class via a live video call or recorded video exchange, share their local context and community challenges, and together choose one or more SDGs to focus on for the project. This sets the foundation for collaboration and ensures both classes are aligned on the challenge they will tackle.
Research Local and Global Perspectives on Your Chosen SDG
Students investigate real-world challenges related to their chosen SDG(s) in both their own community and their partner class's region. They gather data, interview community members or experts, and compile findings in a shared research brief that both classes can access and build on together.
Compare Solutions and Co-Design Your Action Plan
Students analyze how different communities approach the same SDG challenge, compare cultural contexts and available resources, then work together in mixed teams (local and international) to design a concrete, feasible action plan that blends insights from both perspectives. They document their reasoning and key decisions in a collaborative working document.
Create a Multimedia Presentation of Your Collaborative Solution
Students develop a multimedia presentation (slides, video, infographic, or combination) that showcases their action plan, explains how local and global perspectives strengthened the design, highlights the SDG connection, and demonstrates the potential impact on their identified challenge. Both classes contribute to and review the final product.
Present, Reflect, and Celebrate Your Global Impact
Students present their collaborative action plan to their school community and partner class, reflecting on what they learned about global collaboration, cultural differences, and problem-solving. They discuss next steps for implementation and celebrate the transformative potential of their work.
