Students will be able to identify and name CVC word patterns by sorting word cards with their classmates and partner class.
Students will be able to demonstrate CVC decoding by reading and matching consonant-vowel-consonant words from both their language and their partner class's language.
Students will be able to compare and contrast which CVC word patterns are common in their language versus their international partner class's language.
Students will be able to evaluate why certain CVC combinations are easier or harder to read across different cultures and languages through collaborative reflection.
